Welcome to Dorset Humanists

Dorset Humanists is a welcoming group for humanists, atheists and agnostics who seek to live ethical and fulfilling lives on the basis of reason and humanity. We meet in Bournemouth for informative and enjoyable presentations, debates and discussions on a wide range of subjects including ethics, science, religion, philosophy, politics, our environment and much more. We also organise regular social events.

February Bulletin and Newsletter

DW 6298984 (crop)Darwin Day is nearly here!

After all the planning, we're really excited about our best-ever Darwin celebration with our special guest speaker Robin Ince. Full details inside this month's Bulletin.

Also this month, the most atheistic country in Europe, the Christian backlash against the 'new atheism', an additional special event on the Darwin theme, why we should consider changing our group’s name, and what 'partnership' with the British Humanist Association means.

In my letter read about our planned ‘Atheists v Christians’ debates at Bournemouth University, jointly organised with Bournemouth Students’ Humanist and Atheist Society.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Best wishes,
David Warden
Chair, Dorset Humanists
