Dorset Humanists is a welcoming group for humanists, atheists and agnostics who seek to live ethical and fulfilling lives on the basis of reason and humanity. We meet in Bournemouth for informative and enjoyable presentations, debates and discussions on a wide range of subjects including ethics, science, religion, philosophy, politics, our environment and much more. We also organise regular social events.

Morality Debate & Cream Tea

If God does not exist, what basis is there for morality and ethics? clip_image002

Should we base our lives on doing good for others, or on pursuing our own self-interest? In this combined debate and summer social event, four members of Dorset Humanists will debate the motion “Self-interest is the best basis for morality.”

Come along and join us for a thought provoking afternoon and a tasty cream tea (£2.50 charge for cream tea).
