Dorset Humanists Discussion Group (DHDG)

Once a month Dorset Humanists meet at Savoy Hotel** in Bournemouth (in the Ballroom or Victoria Room - ask at reception). The first part of the meeting is a discussion about any topics of interest. Bring a book or newspaper article to discuss. The second part of the meeting is a discussion about a 'Special Topic of the Month' - your ideas about future topics are welcome.

'The Golden Rule' ("treat others as you would like to be treated.") ethic of many religions and humanism.

May 2008 - 'Teaching Humanism in Schools'
Richard S reported on our efforts to teach Humanism to Dorset school children.

June 2008 - 'What use is science to Humanists?'
We discussed the importance of science and the scientific method to humanists.
