Welcome to Dorset Humanists

Dorset Humanists is a welcoming group for humanists, atheists and agnostics who seek to live ethical and fulfilling lives on the basis of reason and humanity. We meet in Bournemouth for informative and enjoyable presentations, debates and discussions on a wide range of subjects including ethics, science, religion, philosophy, politics, our environment and much more. We also organise regular social events.

February Bulletin

DWNicky Morgan, Secretary of State for Education, is seeking to block future attempts by the British Humanist Association (BHA) to blow the whistle on illegal admissions practices in faith schools. See inside this month's Bulletin for what you can do to help (or go directly to  the BHA website to take action now).

We also reveal the final amount raised for our latest Winter Charity Appeal, and bring you reports on our recent presentations on ‘women and religion’ and postcapitalism in case you missed either of them.

We hope to see you soon at one of our exciting events, especially Darwin Day at the Bournemouth International Centre on Saturday 13th February.

David Warden
Chair, Dorset Humanists

PS. I'm doing a talk on the 'Science of Happiness' for Bournemouth Skeptics in the Pub this coming Wednesday. See inside the bulletin for details.
